Two more Vietnamese enterprises have been permitted to export seafood products to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) by Russia''s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (FSVPS).
Panama has permitted 17 seafood processing facilities in Viet Nam to
export seafood products to the country, according to the Panama Food
Safety Authority (AUPSA).
Local seafood enterprises must comply with Australia''s regulations for
export seafood products to remain exports to the market, according to
the National Agro, Forestry and Fisheries Quality Assurance Department
(NAFIQAD).
Statistics from Tien Giang Province''s Department of Industry and Trade
(DoIT) show that export turnover for the province''s businesses over the
first two months of 2015 reached US$245 million.
Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Kien Giang plans to export seafood
worth US$170 million this year, even though the sector is facing
significant obstacles, local authorities said.
The Viet Nam Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) expects Viet Nam to
export seafood worth about US$7.7 billion in 2014, due to high demand
by the end of the year.
Viet Nam expects a year-on-year increase of 15 per cent in shrimp export
value to US$2.5-2.6 billion, higher than the yearly target of $2.4
billion, according to the Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and
Producers (VASEP).
